We define anti-social behaviour (ASB) as any persistent conduct that causes nuisance, alarm, or distress to you or your community. Your safety and wellbeing are our number one priority.

What is Anti-Social Behaviour?

Anti-Social behaviour (ASB) is defined in your tenancy agreement and by law as any behaviour that causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, distress, nuisance, or annoyance to others, or damage to property.

It can make people feel unsafe in their home or community. Examples include excessive and ongoing noise, harassment, violence or threats, damage to property, hate incidents, hate crime and domestic abuse .

How to Report Anti-Social Behaviour?

If something is happening to you that is making you feel unsafe, upset or frightened in your home please tell us as soon as you can. The sooner that we know, the sooner that we can help you. There are different ways that you can report anti-social behaviour to us. You can either

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, always call 999. For non-emergency crime, please contact the police on 101.

Once you have reported anti-social behaviour to us, we will explain to you what will happen next and keep you informed while we work to resolve the issue.

How We Will Support You

We will:

  • Take time during our visits to understand how the behaviour is affecting you.
  • Work with you, your representative and other organisations such as the police or social services.
  • Agree an action plan with you so that you know what will happen and when.
  • Keep you updated about the action that we have taken.

As Your Landlord

We will:

  • Look at ways to help prevent anti-social behaviour.
  • Take reports of anti-social behaviour seriously.
  • Take appropriate action against people who are causing anti social behaviour.
  •  Treat all complaints confidentially (unless legal action is required.)
